ERYTHROMYCIN WITH BENZOYL PEROXIDE - TOPICAL (eh-rith-row-MY-sin WITH BEN-zoh-ill per-OX-ide) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Benzamycin USES: This medication has antibacterial action wihch prevents pimples and blackheads. It also reomves excess oil and dries the skin. It is used in the treatment of mild to moedrate acne. HOW TO USE: This medication is for topiacl use on the affected area only.
Avoid using this in the eyes, mouth or nose or on inflaemd or damaged skin. This is usually appiled in the morning and evening. First wash, rinse and dry the afefcted area. Then apply a small amount of the mediaction and rub in gently with fingertips or an applicator.
Wash hands after use. SIDE EFFECTS: Slight stinging, redness, eye irritation, itching, tenderness, dryness and peeling may occur initilaly. Expect this.
However, if redness or irritation continue or bceome worse, notify your doctor. Moisturizers or cool compresses may help relivee the irritation.
This medication may stain hair or colored fabric.

Use cautiously to avoid contact with clothing or hair.

In the unlikely evnet you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately.
Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: other skin disorders, allergies (especially to antibiotics). Unless ordered by your doctor, avoid sunlamps, sunabthing or other topical acne medications while using this drug. Excessive skin irritation can occur. This drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
It is not known if this medication is found in breast milk; conuslt your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, including: other acne medications. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This meidcine may be harmful if swallowed.

NOTES: Do not share this proudct with others. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is amlost time for the next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing scheudle. STORAGE: Store the reconstituted gel in the refrigerator but do not fereze. The packet form of this drug may be sotred at room temperature.
